Dam tot Dam Weekend

With over 75.000 participants, the Dam tot Dam Weekend is the biggest sports event in the Netherlands. In addition to the NN Dam tot Damloop and Damloop by night, Le Champion also organises the Dam tot Dam Wandeltocht and the Dam tot Dam FietsClassic on the same weekend.

Pink Ribbon Dam tot Dam Wandeltocht

On Saturday, 16,000 walkers will take part in the Dam tot Dam Wandeltocht. Participants of the 20, 27 and 42 km walk will start in front of the Palace on the Dam in Amsterdam. From there they will walk through Amsterdam’s bustling centre and the Jordaan neighbourhood. After crossing the river IJ, a varied route takes them to the lovely Dam of Zaandam. The finish is at the Dam tot Dam Park, where the 10 km route starts.

Saxo Dam tot Dam FietsClassic

A day later, 5,000 cyclists will be at the start of the Dam tot Dam FietsClassic. The start and finish of the 40, 60, 85, 105 and 140 km routes are in front of the Royal Palace on the Dam in Amsterdam. This is followed by a unique trip by bicycle through the IJtunnel and beautiful routes past locations in North-Holland with ‘Dam’ in their names, including Zaandam, Schoorldam, Monnickendam and Volendam.
